HisaabUAE (حساب means “calculation”) is a free set of calculators that helps employees and small businesses in the UAE understand the numbers behind labour law: gratuity, leave salary, overtime, deductions and final settlement.
Why we built it
Millions of people work in the UAE, many in their second or third language. When a job ends, the final settlement is often explained with a single total and no breakdown. HisaabUAE shows each line of the calculation and the article of law behind it, in English, Arabic and Urdu, so anyone can check their figures before signing.
Who we are
HisaabUAE is run by a Dubai-based administration and accounts professional who has prepared payroll, leave and end-of-service figures for UAE companies. The site is independent and is not linked to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) or any government body.
How the calculators are checked
- Every formula follows Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 and its Executive Regulations (Cabinet Resolution No. 1 of 2022).
- Each calculator is tested against worked examples, including edge cases such as service under one year and the two-year gratuity cap.
- Public holiday dates come from official announcements. Future Islamic holidays are marked as expected.
- Pages are reviewed when the law or holiday list changes.
Your privacy
All calculations run in your browser. We do not ask you to sign up and we do not store the salaries or dates you enter.
Limits
Results are estimates for general information. Your contract, a free-zone law or a court decision may lead to a different amount. For a binding answer, contact MOHRE or a qualified legal adviser.
